AIF Compliances

Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) are investment vehicles that pool funds from both Indian and foreign investors for various investment purposes. In accordance with regulations set forth by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the filing of placement memorandums for AIFs must be conducted through a SEBI-registered Merchant Banker. These Merchant Bankers are tasked with independently conducting due diligence on all disclosures within the placement memorandum of AIFs. They must ensure the accuracy and sufficiency of disclosures and issue a due diligence certificate upon satisfaction.

Nirbhay undertakes the due diligence process for AIFs in India, meticulously preparing a comprehensive report and certificate as mandated by SEBI. These documents are then submitted either when the draft placement memorandum of AIFs is filed with SEBI or prior to the launch of a new scheme on the SEBI Intermediary portal.
